The top 10 reasons you should upgrade to CADint today
" Nobody does it better "
- Gerber Import
CADint can accept Gerber, NC drill and DXF data import. Pad's and others can import DXF Board outlines only.
Reverse engineering a PCB can be a tedious process. In CADint, the time required to re-create a design is significantly reduced since Gerber and NC drill data can be imported as individual files and assigned to what ever layer you want. Once imported, you can not only select a destination layer, but also edit dcodes, merge files, invert files, reverse polarity, etc. just like third party CAM programs. While this is not an "intelligent" import, it provides an exact placement "roadmap" of the target PCB. Once all the Gerber and NC drill data is imported, start to create your schematic in sections and forward annotate that into your newly created PCB database. Once imported into the data base, the actual parts can be positioned directly over the imported gerber data. Traces can be routed using the Gerber data as a pattern. Once the routes are completed, run DRC check to verify that all the Gerber data associated with the schematic data is deleted, leaving a completed database. Once you have completed importing the whole schematic in this manner, run DRC checking again to remove the final line segments from the PCB file and you are done.
- Panelization
CADint can generate all panelization Gerber's, NC drill, and fabrication drawings completely within itself. No third party software is necessary which means no additional purchase cost, software maintenance, or learning curve. Pad's and others are not able to panelize data. The upgrade cost is worth just this feature alone!
- World class solid software
CADint is a very stable design platform. The software designers at CADint today are the same ones that designed the first version of the package and invented the very first PC-based Printed Circuit Design software to come to market. They were also the architects of the world famous EE Designer. This means complete user confidence that any bugs found are addressed quickly and efficiently. Also, CADint software developers listen to their users to constantly create new features that users want, not some corporate director that isn't in touch with their customers.
- Gerber data generation
CADint offers a one button Gerber and NC drill data generation. You have to see it to believe it. The command is even called “Easy Gerber and Drill”. CADint looks for Gerber and NC data and presents a selection list you pick from to create a fabrication package. It even gives you the option of zipping the data into one file. Pad's and others require you to create and store images individually.
- Assembly Drawing Generation
CADint allows for the generation of PCB images with superimposed, standard or user generated title blocks for quick generation of any support documentation. There are several stock images but you can create your own on the fly and have them every time you want to create a support document. You can import a DXF image of your title block if you have one. Add ‘properties” to your new title block for things like titles, part numbers, Generating assembly drawings of the back of a circuit board is as easy as clicking the "mirror" check box when positioning the PCB image. The title block remains where it is leaving the board correctly positioned. Other software does not support this feature as easily. You can even place several images on one title block if you wish.
- Design output options
Other software can create documentation data through your windows print driver or in some instances DXF. CADint can truly create ANY user-defined image through The windows print manager, plus HPGL, DXF, or BMP.
CADint has numerous types of reporting. Such as: Bill of Materials, purchasing list, and others. It also loads directly into Excel.
You also have the ability to do a composite drawing without limitation. For example, an assembly drawing could show both the component side and solder side (as seen from back) any scale anywhere in any format of your choice.
- Interactive router is included free
Every seat of CADint comes with a very powerful push and shove interactive
router. The router is a rules driven router that uses Information defined in either the schematic or PCB file to control it. You have the ability to push and shove up to 8 parallel lines with feed throughs live in real time. Once your parameters are set, routing can be achieved without any drc or clearance errors. This feature is more powerful in rework than the original design.
- ASCII import
CADint can import ASCII data from several platforms such as Visula, CADstar, PADs, EE Designer, PCAD, Protel, Tango, and Edwin.

- Schematic Capture
Our hierarchical schematic capture is second to none. Unlimited capability.
- Forward and backward annotation
True Forward and backward annotation. Any changes made plus or minus in the layout will be automatically updated in the schematic after backward annotation. Since our world famous design team has worked together sine the early 80’s, every enhancement is seamlessly implemented. In fact, our motivation to develop state of the art tools was because we use the tools ourselves and realized that there was a better solution.
